2 cute cuteness

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!  Today I have some uber cute green cuteness to share with you!

This cute little digi stamp is from a company called 2 Cute Ink.  His name is Sweet Leprechaun, and well, he is just that! I coloured him up with Copics, having some fun with some different green combinations.  It’s interesting…I definitely have a favourite combination (YG13/YG17), but this was a great chance to experiment with some others as well!  Once he was all finished, I grabbed a bit of DCWV paper for the background (Hello Darlin’) and then added a bit of hand lettering with my Sakura pen (if you ever plan on doing hand lettering, these pens really are amazing). I finished off the card with a little bow, and it was all set.

Heidi at 2 Cute Ink has recently brought back her challenge blog, so if you love digis, this is a great chance for you to win some cute ones!  This month, the challenge is “Anything Goes” so the sky is the limit!

And while you are there, you can check out Heidi’s digi club, where you can pick up this exclusive image:

So, I am not sure if you have any St. Patrick’s day celebrations up your sleeve for today, but it never hurts to sneak a little bit of colouring in there!  Thanks for stopping by!

Animal Magic

Good morning everyone!  It’s a chilly morning here in Calgary, so I am hoping to warm up a little bit by sharing a a hug…

…a little hug in the form of a Tiddly Ink!  It’s challenge day again, and this time we are working with the theme of “Animal Magic“.  Lately, my oldest daughter has been all about owls, so I though that Owlways Love You would be a great little image to colour up!

It’s no secret that Christy’s character Wryn is one of my favourites, and I love the detail and unusual shape of this image in particular!  I used the E11-18 family for both the branch and her hair, and then played a bit with colours on the owls to match the Doodlebug paper that I chose for the card base (these ones happen to be from the Sweet Treats collection).  It’s a great image for a last minute card (not that we ever have to make those, right?) because, while there are a lot of fun details, there is actually not a lot of space to colour.  And really, who would appreciate the war hug?

So, for the challenge this month:

use any Tiddly Inks animal image
 (Cats-birds-dogs..anything with an animal in)

and there are number for you to choose from! Link it up on the blog post, and you are all set to go!  And remember, you have a full month now to enter the challenge, so no excuses!  Remember, this cutie is a breeze to colour up!

Thanks for stopping by!

Holly Jolly Molly

Good morning crafty friends!  If you are feeling a little under the weather right ow like we all are in my house, I have a little card today that will hopefully bring some smiles!

molly-closeupIt’s challenge time at Tiddly Inks (our last on of the year), and I decided to use one of Christy’s newest images – Holly Molly!  Isn’t she sweet with those little fairy wings? I coloured her up with Copics to match some Doodlebug paper, but besides her hair and the bow there actually want’t too much colouring on this one!  She’s a great one if you still have to make some last minute cards – like me!!

Oh, one last thing!  While there is sad news over on the challenge blog, there are also some details about a cute freebie!  So, while you head over to see all the inspiration and to enter the challenge, don’t forget to check for that too!

Well, I am off to make lunches!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sooooo…I thought I was finished….

…but as I started filling in Christmas cards, I realized that while i had enough for all the cards I send, I forgot to take into account the ones I give away at work.  So, it was back to the crafty table this morning (life is tough)!

I decided to work with some digi’s from Whimsie Doodles that I haven’t for a bit. If I remember correctly, I think I used this one for some hot chocolate gift tags a couple of years ago…I might just have to tuck a pouch inside this one too! I cloured the image up with my trusty Copics to match the cute Sugarplums collection from Doodlebug (I am down to my last scraps from this collection…sigh).

And then I decided to add a little Christmas twist to a digi called Penelope.  This dig hold a special place in my heart… both of my daughters wear glasses and this was one of the first images I found that was a character with glasses that wasn’t “nerd” themed (and sadly still one of the few that I have).  I am thinking that I might hang on to this card for my oldest…although I guess that means I will have to make even more cards!

Anyway, I hope that you aren’t still Christmas card making!  But if you are – Whimsie Doodles does have a challenge on right now (and you don’t even have to use a Whimsie Doodles stamp – although, why wouldn’t you?!  They are cute, cute, cute)!

Thanks for stopping by!
