Okay, I don’t know about the weather where you are, but I am just about done with it here. No, scratch that. I AM done with it here. We just celebrated Easter with the coldest one on history since 1940 and I couldn’t be more ready for warmth and green!
So what’s a girl to do – create a craft that screams spring! And given that it is challenge time over at Tiddly Inks, it seemed like a good time to get on that! So I grabbed one of the cute new images from Christy called Light Up My Life and got down to it!
I coloured up the image with Copics to match some new Doodlebug paper I have from the Down on the Farm collection. The warm, rich colours seemed like a great fit with these cute fireflies. Would you believe I have never seen a firefly before – it’s actually on my bucket list. But I did a quick search and then coloured away. I think this will be an image I go back to again and again.
If you are looking for some crafty inspiration,. drop by the challenge blog and see what all the DT members have been up to. And then, get your crafty on! The theme of this month’s challenge is all about the “round”, so this time around, don’t be square! Tiddly Inks Challenge
If it’s nice where you are, enjoy the weather and send some my way if you can! Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!
I am sure that it comes as no surprise that I love stamps! If you have ever seen a post here at SCS, you will notice that colouring up a cute image is a way that I decompress, and putting them onto fun cards is the icing on the cake. I don’t play favourites – give me an image I can colour and I am a happy crafter.
But every once and awhile, I come across a stamp that just steals my heart. This new stamp from Tiddly Inks called Magical Day is just one of those stamps!
This stamp features one of Christy’s main characters – Wryn – dressed up for a day of imagination. And together with her little frog prince and cute butterfly, I would argue that it can hardly get cuter than this!
I coloured up Wryn to match some new Doodlebug paper that I have kicking around the crafty table. It features Copics mostly in the Red family (R81/83/85 for the top of her dress) and just a few colours as embellishments.
I hand lettered a little sentiment just to finish things off, finishing off the card with one of my favourite ribbons from May Arts. I am not sure what occasion this card will be for, but it may just make its way onto a shelf in my crafty space in the meantime!
Thanks for stopping by!
Good morning crafty peeps and happy Saturday. Let’s see – this weekend could not have come fast enough. But the good news is I now have a bit of time for a good rest and a bit of crafty fun! Starting with some Tiddly Inks!
This cutie is one of Christy’s characters named Molly. This particular version of Molly is a dig called Molly Treat. I love colouring Molly’s hair…
…and I decided to give yellow a try for her dress. It’s funny – yellow is not usually my go to colour for large sections of my stamps. But I love how bright and fun it looks together with the Doodlebug paper. I don’t know – what do you think? Does yellow suit Molly?
Well, whatever you have planned this weekend, I hope it involved a rest, some crafting and maybe even a bit of a treat (perhaps not one as big as Molly’s, but a treat nonetheless)!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy New Year everyone! It’s hard to believe that the Christmas season is behind us and we are on to a new year! With new years come new challenges…but unlike the ones that life throws at us, colouring challenges are much more fun! So let’s start the year with one from Tiddly Inks!
This month, Christy and Lou are starting us off easily with Anything Tiddly Inks Goes!! So put on your Tiddly mojo and go with the flow!! (**remember…We love to see any new creation, a card, 3D project, journal page etc but you must use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image **)
I used one of the new stamps in the store called Hello My Deer. This cutie is a great multi-purpose stamp that you can use for all sorts of events. I coloured it up with my trusty Copics and added a hand-lettered sentiment. I stuck it down on some cute Doodlebug paper, topped it off with a May Arts ribbon bow and I was all set.
Tiddly Ink challenge #1 (for the new year anyway) in the bag!
So, any great New Year’s resolutions on your plate?
