Ready for Christmas?

Christmas is just around the corner – yes it’s true!  It is the beginning December and we can no longer deny that Christmas will be here before we know it.  Am I ready? Ummmm…no.  You?  Will I be soon?  Ummmm…no.  You? The truth is that I am never really ready for Christmas to arrive, but I make due!

The good news is that I do have some Christmas decorating up and we have been enjoying it for a few weeks now…like this little printer tray that I created with Doodlebug’s Milk and Cookies collection.

This printer tray is just slightly bigger than 12×12, so when I was deciding what to embellish the compartments with, the Odds and Ends were a perfect fit – literally!

There is a lot of Doodlebug goodness in this project, so if you are interested in seeing more, pop on over to the Doodlebug blog!

Holly Jolly Molly

Good morning crafty friends!  If you are feeling a little under the weather right ow like we all are in my house, I have a little card today that will hopefully bring some smiles!

molly-closeupIt’s challenge time at Tiddly Inks (our last on of the year), and I decided to use one of Christy’s newest images – Holly Molly!  Isn’t she sweet with those little fairy wings? I coloured her up with Copics to match some Doodlebug paper, but besides her hair and the bow there actually want’t too much colouring on this one!  She’s a great one if you still have to make some last minute cards – like me!!

Oh, one last thing!  While there is sad news over on the challenge blog, there are also some details about a cute freebie!  So, while you head over to see all the inspiration and to enter the challenge, don’t forget to check for that too!

Well, I am off to make lunches!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sooooo…I thought I was finished….

…but as I started filling in Christmas cards, I realized that while i had enough for all the cards I send, I forgot to take into account the ones I give away at work.  So, it was back to the crafty table this morning (life is tough)!

I decided to work with some digi’s from Whimsie Doodles that I haven’t for a bit. If I remember correctly, I think I used this one for some hot chocolate gift tags a couple of years ago…I might just have to tuck a pouch inside this one too! I cloured the image up with my trusty Copics to match the cute Sugarplums collection from Doodlebug (I am down to my last scraps from this collection…sigh).

And then I decided to add a little Christmas twist to a digi called Penelope.  This dig hold a special place in my heart… both of my daughters wear glasses and this was one of the first images I found that was a character with glasses that wasn’t “nerd” themed (and sadly still one of the few that I have).  I am thinking that I might hang on to this card for my oldest…although I guess that means I will have to make even more cards!

Anyway, I hope that you aren’t still Christmas card making!  But if you are – Whimsie Doodles does have a challenge on right now (and you don’t even have to use a Whimsie Doodles stamp – although, why wouldn’t you?!  They are cute, cute, cute)!

Thanks for stopping by!

Feet jammies!

Both of my little girls have always loved “feet jammies” – you know, the pajamas that go all the way down and cover up your feet.  Now I have no idea how they can stand them – the idea of anything covering my feet at night makes me squirm (and oddly enough, anything covering the little ones feet any other time also makes her squirm).  But they love their feet jammies, and at 7 and 5, they both still get a pair every year at Christmas!

elf-closeupSo when Christy put out this new digi at Tiddly Inks, I couldn’t wait to make it into a Christmas card.  This new character is called Molly, and this particular image is Sweet Dreams Molly.  I coloured her up with Copics in really simple colour scheme actually – just pink, green, red and grey and placed her on top of some fun Doodlebug paper (this collection is Sugarplums).  I topped off the card with a May Arts bow and the card was all set for my Christmas mailing (which I actually better get done this weekend)!

I think this one might be my favourite Christmas card this year!

Don’t forget that it is Fabulous Friday over at the Tiddly Inks challenge blog, so the design team has all sorts of inspiration to get you in the crafting spirit.  And our most current challenge is still open so you have a few days to get in on that as well!

Okay, my Fitbit is buzzing so I better get the rest of my day started!  Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
