Hey There Punkin!

I am beyond excited to share with you the new release from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!  This time of the year is always a little bitter sweet for me – then end of summer home with my two gals (my favourite time of the year), but heading back to a job that I really enjoy.  So it’s fun to think about the things that I am thankful for, even though it is only August!

Okay, so this first set is a beauty from artist Cheryl Grant featuring three sweet images with our fave kiddos…..Lexi, Lulu and Lucas, called HEY THERE, PUNKIN’!! I chose to work with Lexi, mostly because I absolutely love the look on her face!  It was an absolute delight to colour (and I have to tell you that I have coloured it up 3 times since I received this set).  I think it will be my “go-to” stamp not only for Thanksgiving projects, but thank-you cards for the fall season!

Christmas in July???!!!

Okay, I know the weather has been a bit unpredictable this year, but Christmas in July???!!!!  Really???!!!

Well, “weather” you are ready to think about Christmas yet or not, we have a fun challenge at Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps this week for you.   This week our hostess is STEPHANIE and her challenge is CHRISTMAS IN JULY! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp or any other stamp, using a holiday theme!

This week, I decided to work with one of my favourite stamps from the winter release last year – from Lexi’s Winter Fun set.  I coloured up Lexi and her snowman pal with Copics to match some DCWV paper I had kicking around and then added a bit of May Arts eyelet ribbon for some texture.  I love how the angle of this stamp makes it so easy to highlight a sentiment!

Don’t forget that Kimmie has put a bunch of great product on sale this weekend – stamps and paper!  So head on over and stock up!

Ahoy, Sailor!

Well, it’s new release time at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, so I get to share some sneak peeks with you over the next few days!  Today we are sharing a cute new set featuring Lulu, Lexi and Lucas, by artist Cheryl Alger called AHOY, SAILOR!!

I decided to work with Lexi today and coloured her up with Copics.  I know that blue and pink are not your typical sailor colours 😉 but I thought it would be a fun way to add a bit of femininity to the image and coordinate it with the cute Echo Park paper (Splendid Sunshine). I topped it off with a satin and grosgrain bow from May Arts, which is actually a deep navy colour (not as black as it appears in the photo).

It’s a special day today – not only is it our NOVEMBER RELEASE Day at KRAFTIN’ KIMMIE STAMPS, but it is also my mom’s birthday!  So I am celebrating with a cute little card featurign one of the new relesese stamps from the TOGETHER IS BETTER set!

I teamed Lexi up with some MME Alphabet soup paper and then coloured her up with my Copics. It’s a little hard to tell in the pictures, but I also topped off her balloon with a bit of Glossy Accents for some great shine!  Lexi is a great addition to any “love” themed card, but I also think she makes a darling birthday card!  I hope mom agrees!
