Let it snow – but only on paper!

Halloween is next week, and that means that there is snow in the forecast for Calgary so this week’s Kraftin’ Kimmie “Let it Snow” challenge is perfect (although I am glad that I have at least a few more days of Fall).  This week our hostess is Krafty Girl, KIMMIE so create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp or any other stamp and be sure to use the idea of snow, snow embellishments, images with snow, fluffy stuff, white stuff etc. to get you going!!! 

I decided to use Lexi from the band new “Candy Cane Kisses” set.  I coloured her up with Copics, and while there are no “direct” snow images in the image, Lexi looked like she was dressed for a blustery day (and anyway, she was so cute I just wanted an excuse to use her).  I also added some Diamond Stickles in and around her feet (backed with a bit of B41 and B45) to give the illusion of ice or snow.  I really love that this card feels warm in spite of the snow and Christmas theme!

Merry Christ-mouse

It’s day two of the October sneak peeks at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, and we have a cute one for you today!  

This set, set from artist THAIS NARCISO features THREE main images and FIVE awesome coordinating sentiments! This fabulous set is called MERRY CHRIST-MOUSE!

I decided to team up this stocking cutie with some Doodlebug paper, and then coloured him up with Copics to match.  I worked with some simple layers – I am trying to keep my Christmas cards a little flatter this year so it doesn’t cost a fortune to send!  What do you think – does it seem like it is missing something?

A Koala-ty Friend

Good morning, happy Thursday, and welcome to the first day of Kraftin’ Kimmie peeks.  Kimmie has so many beautiful stamp images to share with you this week, and as usual, I am happy to be in on the fun!

First off is a new koala-themed set from artist THAIS NARCISO called “A KOALA-TY FRIEND”. These cuties are sure to put a smile on the face of any recipient.  I worked with my warm and cool Copics to layer some colour to create that fuzzy look I wanted for this mama and her wee one!  This image just makes me want to go and hug my little wee ones!

CAS challenge at KKS

Good morning everyone!  Today is a great day to celebrate – I am on summer holidays!!!  Strangely enough, I am actually excited about having time to clean windows and clean out the basement and closets.  I imagine that excitement won’t last long!

But before I get started on all that, it’s time for a bit of krafty time with Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps! And hopefully you’ll have some time in the next week to join us for this week’s challenge – CAS (clean and simple) designs.  Now, I have to admit that these are not always the easiest designs for me, but I did give it a go today with one of the pretty stamps from the “Flowers Feed the Soul” set.  With a bit of Trendy Twine, and one simple piece of Doodlebug patterned paper (which happens to be from a Christmas-themed line), I think is a bright and cheerful way to send greetings!
