Outdoor fun!

Well, the weather here in Calgary this summer has been super hot, but with two little gals, that is no excuse for being indoors!  So today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge is a perfect way to relive some of our fun summer memories!

Outdoor-challenge-front

This week our hostess is Krafty Girl, TANGI and her challenge is OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp or any other stamp, with some sort of outdoor theme.

I decided to work with Lulu from the Down on the Farm 2 set.  She is coloured up with Copics, and then I hand lettered a little sentiment with my trusty Sakura pen!  There are all sorts of fun details on this stamp, and while those little birdies are super cute, that little bunny hanging from the fence is my favourite!

So, here’s to fun outdoor activities!  I hope you have the chance to get outside this weekend, after you check out the krafty inspiration by the Krafty Girls and finish your challenge entry, of course! 😉  Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to Moo!

Moo-full

Ahhhhh – today, I feel like I am in my element!  Cute and bright!!  It’s day 3 of the MARCH Kraftin’ Kimmie Peeks, and this stamp from the new Down On the Farm 2 set featuring Lexi and her darling little dairy friend is enough to make me squeal.  Created by the talented artist Cheryl Alger, this new set is a continuation of the popular farm themed set that was released last year at KKS.  And I think this one is even better!

I decided to use some non-traditional colours for this card, using some fun Doodlebug paper for the card base.  I just thought that this image was so cute and playful that I couldn’t resist some pinks and flowers – oh, and a big, pink bow too! Having said that, Lexi would look great in a pair of classic denim overalls too – this gal can pull anything off!

Oh, and it’s Saturday, which means that it is time for our weekly Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge too.  As is tradition on release week, the theme is ANYTHING GOES! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp with no restrictions! We hope you can play along for your chance to WIN some NEW Kraftin’ Kimmie rubbah!!!

Well, that’s it for me today!  I have one more KKS project to share with you this week, and it’s a good one!  So I hope you’ll pop by again tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!
