It’s a Sunnie Day!

Sunnie-full

Okay, it isn’t a sunny day here in Calgary (which is okay because we need the rain), but it is a Sunnie day here at ScrappyCanuck Studios!

Today, I get to share a fun new stamp called “Sunnie” for the release week sneaks Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps.

I coloured Sunnie with Copic markers, and the used some paper from a Trinity Paper Arts collection (a company that is unfortunately not around anymore, although they did put out three really cool collections).  I thought the flip flop patterned paper was a perfect touch for this beach babe, and a bit of Trendy Twine and some bling finished off the card.

Sunnie-closeupBe sure to check out all the fun proejct the Krafty gals created for today’s release!  You could win yourself some stamps!

It’s also challenge day at Kraftin’ Kimmie, and I get to host this week’s challenge!  The theme is the ever popular “anything goes”!  That means you can join in to the fun with any design, technique and stamp – just get “krafty”!

And finally, don;t forget about the Krafty party over on the Kraftin Kimmie Facebook page tonight.  All the winners from this week’s release will be announced, and there are usually more prizes to win too!  Hopefully, you can join us!

Well, that’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mahalo!

Leilani-full

Leilani-closeupI haven’t been to Hawaii since I was about 7 years old, but it’s amazing how many vivid memories I still have of that trip (and that is saying something because I seem to have a hole in my brain when it comes to remember details of trips I took when I was younger).  Hawaii I remember!!!

So when I saw this new release from Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps, I fell in love with this beauty!  So many great details, and some much fun texture to colour!  Looking at Leilani now, I think she needs more of a tan, but perhaps the lighting was a just a bit overexposed, right (work with me here people)???

Make sure you check out all the other fun “kreations” the Krafty gals have in store with this new release.  There are two other amazing stamp designs by artist Annie Rodriquez that you do not want to miss.  And remember, if you take the time to leave a comment, you could be rewarded with some free stamps from this release!  Trust me – it’s worth your time!

Thanks for stopping by!

Something is a bit fishy…

Double-Trouble-full

Can something be fishy in a good way?  All I know is that this new set of stamps from Kraftin’ Kimmie called “Shell me a Story” is all sorts of fun!  The set comes with three adorable mermaids and a number of fun sentiments – they are a blast to colour and make a great addition to any summer themed card or layout!

Double-Trouble-closeupI decided to tackle a double side step card, mostly because I wanted a fun way to show off more that one of the mermaids from this set.  This was not a fold I had tried before, but I found a great tutorial here.  I modified the dimension a bit to better suit the stamps, but other than that the tutorial worked perfectly for this card.  The paper and sticker embellishments are all from Echo Park’s Splash collection – my all time favourite summer themed paper collection!  A few pearl embellishments, some Stickles, a bit of glossy accents for the crabs eyes, and some fun May Arts ribbon and I was all set.

Don’t forget to check out all the other fun creations the Krafty gals have cooked up today!  Leave some comments for you chance to win this new release!  There is even another stamp set by artist Cheryl Auger that you do not want to miss!
