Tiddly Time – August colour challenge

Hi everyone!  I have an apology to make!  I am a week behind on this post.  We went away on vacation last week and for some reason, I thought that I could have this one up after we got back.  Anyway, I was wrong – but I still wanted to get this cutie posted and to let you know that it’s challenge time over at Tiddly Inks stamps once again.  We are running challenges once a month right now, so there is still plenty of time to get your creation together and posted – even if I am a week behind! 😉

This month, the challenge is a pretty colour challenge.  This challenge, called Autumn Glow focuses on this pretty colour selection.  As always, remember that challenges themes are just for inspiration – it is a-okay to venture off in ant direction that the challenge sends you to – perhaps it makes you think of a particular stamp image rather than particular colours.  Whatever you decide – we can’t wait to see it!

For my card, I worked with a new image called Flower Fairy For You.

This cute Wryn image gives you lots of opportunities to play with colour combinations between the dress, flowers and ever the cute pup!  I coloured the image up with Copics, focusing mostly on the R81/R83 combination for the dress, which seemed like a more muted pink that went with the colour samples.  And while there wasn’t any yellow in the original colours, I though the orange tones for the shadows pulled it all together.

So, I better head off.  I have some other projects I need to get photographed and up on the blog too – apparently summer has become more about getting a bit behind rather than catching up and getting ahead of the game.  The good news is that I have some great summer memories to show for it!

Hope you are enjoying the summer!  Can’t wait to see any creations you decide to create for the challenge. Thanks for stopping by!
