Hugs from mummy!

Halloween is just around the corner and I have to admit that I am having so much with Halloween crafts this year! A few years ago, Halloween was not a time of year that I got all excited about in the crafts department…until I discovered the world of cute spook crafting…like this cute stamp from Tiddly Inks called Pum’kin Juice Party.

This month over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog, we have a challenge all about Halloween, so I thought it might be fun to pull together another sample to inspire some more creations.  This cute was coloured up with Copics to match some of Doodlebug’s newest Halloween-themed collection – Booville.  Teamed up with a handwritten sentiment from this “mummy”, I can’t wait to give this to one of my little munchkins in a couple of weeks.

How about you?  Do you have any Halloween crafts on the go right now?

Halloween fun!

It’s Halloweens time!  Okay, it’s not quite Halloween time, but it is time to get Halloween crafty!  And the good news is that Christy from Tiddly Inks has some new goodies to get us all excited about getting the good old markers out!

Now, the truth of the matter is that there are no shortage of cute Halloween images over at Tiddly Inks!  But today, I wanted to introduce you to my favourite little collection called Pum’kin Juice Party.  This set comes with a whole bunch of cute kitty-themed images that will have you crafting from now right up until Halloween – not only because there are so many, but because they are so cute that you won’t want to stop!

I teamed up these images with some cute paper from Doodlebug.  This is one of their new collection called Booville.  It has lots of great colours to work with, and I find that it is really easy to match my Copics with Doodlebug’s colours.

It makes for easy work when I am colouring, and while I love a good crafting challenge every now and again, struggling to find coordinating paper is not one of them!

Now, given that it is the first Tuesday of the month, that also means that it is challenge time at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog. If you hadn’t guessed, the theme is Spookaboo, so we are all about Halloween.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out the design team’s inspiration pieces, make sure you pop over to do that!  And then, it’s your turn to get crafty!  We always love to see what you come up with.

Now, given that I have some Halloween crafts under my belt, I think that warrants a little sneak into the stash of Halloween candy, right?

Thinking of Mew!

teacup-full

Okay, I have a confession to make.  I am a dog person.  It’s not that I don’t think cats are lovable and well, pretty darn fascinating, but having grown up with a canine friend in the house at all times, I think being a dog person is in my blood.

But when I saw this amazingly cute new set from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, I had a change of heart!  This mew set (sorry, I couldn’t help myself) is playful, and clever and so much fun to colour!!!  Drawn by artist Thais Narciso, this new set called FELINE GREAT is purrrfect for any occasion (okay, I’ll stop now)!

Teacup-closeupFor this card, I teamed up some warm browns (Copic E21, E23 and E25 for the cat) with a variety of pinks (R20, R81, R83, R85) and a bit of yellow for a warm contrast (YR31, YR21). I think its a pretty and playful combination that goes well with this cutie in a teacup – a perfect image for a tea party invitation, an invite for a friend for coffee, or even a thank-you!  You will want to find all sorts of reasons to use this one!

All the Krafty Girls listed below have lots of super FUN designs to show you, so be sure to hop over to each of them! And while you’re there, be sure to leave a comment because we are giving away one of the new sets and YOU could WIN!
