It’s July 4th, so very happy Fourth of July wishes to my neighbors to the south. Up here in Canada, we just celebrated our 150th birthday, so I decided to take this month’s Tiddly Inks challenge as a little ode to both countries.
If you haven’t seen the challenge yet, make sure you pop on over to the blog, but this month, it’s all about being independence! And while you can interpret that in all sorts of ways, I couldn’t ignore my countries birthday, and today’s special one for the US. So I decided to colour up one of my favourite digis called “Minnie” with some Canadian colours – good old red and white (with some tourquoise glasses to match my daughter’s), and then top her off with some fun red, white and blue colours from Doodlebug’s Yankee Doodle collection.
I think it’s a fun, playful card that is perfect for any occasion…like posting on my blog on July 4th!
I know the weather is beautiful right now, but we hope you will consider joining us for this month’s challenge! Remember, with a great, general theme like “independence” you can go in all sorts of directions with your project. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Thanks for stopping by!
