Autism Awareness with May Arts

asd

Good morning crafty friends!  I’m not sure if you know this, but April happens to be Autism Awareness month, so today, some of the Ribbonistas from The Ribbon Resource are teaming up for a special little blog hop!! It’s a hop we have every year on this team, and this year, I am excited to share a special card with you!

Hanson-Autism-full-card

For this card, I used the puzzle piece Autism symbol as the inspiration for the stamp choice (this happens to be a Tiddly Ink digital stamp coloured with Copics), and then placed everything on some brightly coloured layers of Doodlebug patterned paper.

I topped the whole card off with a  beautiful blue bow tied onto a paper clip for easy positioning on the card (this one happens to be the 7/8″ Double Faced Satin – Ha-76-98, but check out all these pretty satin blue options).  I then did a bit of hand lettering on the stamped image and I was all done – a card that will work for anyone special in your life, but holds even more meaning for some impacted by Autism!

The diversity in the projects today is absolutely wonderful, so make sure you take some time to visit the other blags.  And as usual, The Ribbon Lady has some awesome prizes up for grabs at the Ribbon Resource blog, so make sure you pop over that was as well!

Thanks for stopping by!
