Welcome coffee lovers! I am so happy to have you pop by today for a little visit! I love making cards! If you have spent any time here at SCS, you will know that card making is what got me started in this crafting world, and it is still the craft I spend the most amount of time on! The only thing I love better than making a great card is making a great interactive card! And while maybe not an “authentic” interactive card, that was the inspiration for today’s coffee themed post!
Inside this happy looking cup of coffee is a little gift card for a favourite coffee shop, and ready to present to a colleague of mine. My hope is that after she has opened up her packaging, she might be inspired to keep that cute coffee cup on her desk, or simply slip off the sleeve and and pass on the coffee love to someone else!
I added some detail to the sleeve by weaving through some of my favourite May Arts Ribbons! The tulle is a 1.5″ variety (471-15-10 Black) and the other is my absolute favourite from the 3/4″ Twill/Chevron Stripe collection (382-34-10 BLACK). The slits were simply cut with a craft knife about 2″ in length, and spaced about ever 2″ as well. Oh, and if you know someone who would actually be disappointed to find a coffee card inside instead of an actual cup of coffee (right?!), simply prep a sleeve the day before and slip it on when you buy the coffee. Wait a minute, make two the day before so you can slip one on yours as well!
There is a lot of coffee lovin’ going on today, so make sure you pop on over to the Ribbon Resource to find out more about it, including a giveaway ($25.00 at the Ribbon Resource). Thanks for stopping by!
