I love stamped images that you can use for more than one occasion. While it can be fun to colour up thematic images, it sure is great to have a selection that you can use any time of the year.
This cute digi from Chi Chi Memories called “Secret Admirer“, is one of those images. While designed as a Valentine image (thinking about who the secret admirer might be or perhaps who this cutie might be thinking of as her crush), the expression is one that can be used for all sorts of sentiments – thinking about you, sorry I forgot…, you got me thinking, etc. And when it is as fun as this little gal is to colour, you won’t mind going back to the image over and over again!
The main feature on this digi is the face and hair, and I used my “go to” Copic colours to add some warmth and dimension (skin – E00, E11, E13, R20; hair: YR31, E13, E15, E17, E18). Wave are a lot of fun to colour – just remember that the lightest part would be the “bump out” (where the artist has drawn the widest section) as this part of the hair would be further forward and would be catching more light. It’s an easy way to add a lot of depth to your colouring!
Well, that’s it for me today! I have a few more Valentine’s themed project coming your way on the blog (including a goodie feature some May Arts ribbon).
Thanks for stopping by!
