Movie Inspiration challenge

Mermaid-Movie-FullMermaid-Movie-closeupI have a bit of a confession to make – this is one of my favourite cards from recent creations!  I am in the middle of a bit of a step-card obsession – I just love the dimension the card shape creates when the sides or centre pop out a bit.  This centre-step card is really easy to create, and does a super job of featuring a stamped image and sentiment!  Pair that together with this awesome stamp from the “Shell Me a Story” stamp set from Kraftin’ Kimmie, some fun paper from the Echo Park Splash collection, and some great ribbon from May Arts, and I think this fun card would make a great greeting for any recipient!

This week, our challenge over at Kraftin’ Kimmie is “Movie Inspiration”.  The sentiment at the bottom of my card is actually a quote from the LIttle Mermaid (Sebastian says this to Ariel).  You can interpret the challenge in any way you like – Kimmie even has some stamps int he store that are right out of the movies, like Dorothy and Peter Pan or even fun ones like Pippa Popcorn!  Use a stamp, sentiment, quote, colours, ideas – whatever!  Just get inspired by the movies.

Oh, and it’s sale time over at KKS! Kimmie has a WELCOME SPRING SALE on NOW with over 150 stamps and sets on 20-50% OFF!!!  Also ALL the retired stamps that we brought back for a short time will soon be leaving and they are all on SALE also!!!  But be warned, there may only be 1 or 2 of each, so if you want it, grab it!!!

Make sure you take some time to see the other krafty inspiration projects for this week’s challenge over on the blog, and then get krafty!  I can’t wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!
