It’s not about the treats!

I have a confession to make – I am not a huge Halloween fan.  It’s not that I dislike Halloween, I just can’t seem to get totally excited about it!  Except for the treats.  And the cute Halloween costumes for my girls.  And the fun papers like the ones int he DCWV Bewitched stack.  Okay, it may not be Christmas, but maybe Halloween is growing on me after all! ;)

One thing I do know is that I had a blast making this fun Halloween card!!

Created with the DCWV Bewitched stack, this card is full of fun colours, pattern and treats!  And on the inside, there is a fun little message that plays up these great elements a little more:

Scared you to PIECES didn’t I?

The card includes a pull tab that the recipient can use to access their candy treats without having to disassemble to whole card.

And by strategically using the chandelier print paper for the pull tab, i think the card looks as great empty as it does full!to cards and other projects.

Now, I know there are a bunch of great companies that sell these treat cups and coordinating tools for cards and other projects.  But the truth is that I am way too frugal (aka “cheap”) to buy them!  My solution is to hang onto packaging from different products that I think would make fun treat cups (make sure you wash them out well)- these ones happen to be from packages of magnets that I picked up at the dollar store.  I do have a fun tutorial here at SCS if you are interested in giving it a try!  I will warn you though – it is a bit addicting, and may cause you to hang on to way too many packaging options!  :)   Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Thanks for stopping by today!!
