ROLLED PAPER ROSES
For those of you who know me personally, you might find it hard to believe that I love paper flowers as much as I do. Let’s just say that I am not the most “girly girl” that you will find. But there is something about a beautiful piece of paper that has been transformed into something that I might see blooming in a garden that really does make me smile. And making them…that’s even better!
So I thought it might be fun to put together a handmade flower tutorial series here at SCRaPPY CaNuCK STuDios that do not require any fancy die cuts or punches.
All this week, I will be posting a series of videos and photo-based tutorials that will have you blooming flowers all over the place! And each day, I will also feature a tutorial that I came across on another scrappy person’s blog – just to make sure that by the end of this week you are up to your eyeballs in petals!
So let’s get started! My very favourite of all paper flowers are the rolled rosettes! Here’s my take on these pretty embellishments:
And once you are finished making a set of these pretties, check out some beautiful poppy-like flowers over at “A Little Hut” by Patricia Zapata! I think I will make a set of these today!
So what do think? Was this a good start to the week?

that was a wonderful tutorial! TFS! I’m curious now where you put your camera. It almost looks like you’re wearing it on your forehead.
Ursula! That is too funny – I think wearing it on my head would be great! I will have to post pictures of my “high-tech” setup…for this one, I actually used a tripod, but it usually consists of two broomsticks and two kitchen chairs! It keeps the camera out of the way and you can see exactly what I see!
Karen, love your flower and it looks so easy. WIll have to try it out. Thanks for sharing!
